I love this CD! I love this Cd! I love this CD! OK, I'll stop with how much I love it and I'll tell you why. Since Big Lick is from a town right next to me. I saw them when I was seven or eight and I liked them. If you've heard their earlier stuff you know that they sound almost punk sorta. The Hills Are Alive sounds a lot more polished up and mature. That's just what happens to bands. Anyways…they write great songs and perform them very well. The music matches up with the lyrics so that you can really get what they're talking about. It also makes it a great choice for dancing. If "Way-O" doesn't make you just want to get up and dance your heart out I don't know what will. Not being a professional writer or anything I find it hard to come up with words to describe this awesome music. It's basically a very fun cd, easy to sing and dance to, and really just kinda happy sounding. The way they put it together sounds like Big D and the Kids Table and a few of the songs sound like The Carpet Patrol and Mission 120. So if you have $12 to spare, like Big D, The Carpet Patrol, or Mission 120, and you're in search of a good cd The Hills Are Alive is what to get.
