Skateboarders And Rollerbladers Need To Kiss And Make Up by Kori
Browsing through "Thrasher" one fine day, I noticed something. There was the usual interviews, skate spots, blah, blah. But in one issue, I noticed a graphic description of how a skaterboarder "curbed" a rollerblader (basically, he slammed his head against a curb numerous times). Then, I picked up another issue and noticed that, on one of the last pages, there was a "10 Ways We Can Benefit From Rollerbladers" and it wasn't pretty. I'm not saying it's all the skateboarders fault either. The Rollerbladers definitely start some of it too. I think both the groups need to chill out. Behaving with such hatred toward people who don't even know will not get you anywhere in life. Stop acting like 2 year olds.
Love by Erika First things first, love exists. It takes on many different forms though. I love my parents, my brother, my friends, my cats, and many more people. I obviously don't love my cats the same way as I love my friends. Imagine that "Kori, come here darling, yes, I love you, hey come back here, get off my desk..." Not quite. Love is not writing "I love ____" on your binder at school and crossing it out every two weeks and changing the name. That is infatuation and if the name changes every few weeks it's also slutty. Love is often not recognized. Especially when it's your family. They're often very annoying but I love my family despite that. Sometimes one of the only ways to realize that you love someone is to be away from them or think about what would happen if they died. If you know who you love it is important to express it. This can be done by not only saying "I love you" but by sending real letters (they have much more charm than e-mail), visting people, giving hugs, making mix tapes etc. In conclusion everyone should go to Paris and write peotry and listen to the sappy song from Titanic over and over again.
